Life can get rough. Therapy can help.

Let me explain.

Like most of my clients,

I’m guessing that you look around and your life seems great…. but you don’t feel as in control of your thoughts, feelings or reactions as you think you should feel. You can talk to friends, but they don’t seem to get it or they offer LOTS of advice that doesn’t take into account the other stuff.

You know… the stuff you’re not sure you want to tell everyone?

Maybe it’s about how rough your childhood really was. Or how busy your brain really feels.

I get it and I can help you understand how to feel more grounded and calm every day.

At the core, my work stems from a place of seeing strengths and offering grace.  I'm told I bring a calm and centered presence to difficult and intense moments, likely because I believe strongly in your power to right the ship when it starts to falter.

In practice, I use humor and metaphor to connect and help clients understand large concepts quickly. I spent years gathering knowledge about oppressive systems, trauma and the brain- and I’ll pass it on to you in one quick analogy! (kidding, kinda)

I use an eclectic mix of therapies, including cognitive behavioral, narrative, and mindfulness therapy (also EFT, CPT, NET, TIC - want more acronyms? I have all the acronyms!)  BUT I know that the most important thing about working with someone is that you actually like them.

Call me for a free 20 min consult and we’ll see if we therapy-like each other.

Weird, right?

My approach

My Clients

I work with folks that are kind, courageous and willing to self examine in order to heal. You might not think that’s you, but if you’re here, I bet it is.

I have found that I am especially skilled in working with those experiencing the impact of trauma and stress on their daily lives-  whether from exposure to trauma at work or childhood trauma as well as folks with major transitions like divorce or death. I work with adults and couples.
